DARIA RABOTKINA Daria Rabotkina was born in Kazan, Russia, into a family of musicians and gave her first solo recital at the age of ten. Her first musical steps were guided by her parents, both outstanding pianists, and Nora Kazachkova at the Special Music School in Kazan. Later she continued her studies with Vladimir Feltsman at Mannes College of Music in New York City, where she was coached by Leon Pommers, Pamela Frank, Todd Phillips, Timothy Eddy and Jacob Lateiner. During her study pursuits, she has participated in the master-classes of artists such as Earl Wild, Edward Aldwell, Eteri Andjaparidze, Andras Schiff, and Richard Goode. Ms. Rabotkina has appeared in many reputable venues, from the Tchaikovsky and Moscow Conservatory's Small Halls to Steinway, Weill Recital and Davies Symphony halls, and has performed with the San Francisco Symphony, Kirov Orchestra, Moscow State Symphony, Sendai Philharmonic, Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra, Kazan State Symphony, New World Symphony, among others. Recently she collaborated as a soloist on several occasions with conductors Michael Tilson Thomas, Valery Gergiev, Vladimir Feltsman, Umeda Toshiyaki, Fabio Mechetti, and Giancarlo Guerrero. She received prizes in numerous competitions, including Virtuosi per Musica di Pianoforte in the Czech Republic, Tbilisi Competition in Georgia, Jacob Flier Piano Competition in New Paltz, Sendai Competition in Japan, World Piano Competition in Cincinnati, Jacksonville Competition in Florida, and the Montreal International Musical Competition. Ms. Rabotkina performed in Russia at the White Night's Festival, in Finland at the Kuhmo Festival, in France at the Chopin Festival, in Germany at the MusikFest in Kreuth, in the United States at the PianoSummer in New Paltz, and Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara, where she was a student of Jerome Lowenthal, and gave concerts in Switzerland and Japan. Ms. Rabotkina's future engagements include performances with the Westmoreland Symphony orchestra, as well as recitals in New York, Santa Barbara and Philadelphia.
